Pocket Greenhaven Scholarship

The Pocket Greenhaven Community Association (“PGCA”) announced the offer of scholarships earlier this year.

All graduating seniors attending high schools or residing within the organization’s boundaries are eligible to apply. These hyperlocal scholarships will help first-year students, and their families cover some of the costs of attendance to accredited colleges for the upcoming academic year.

“The PGCA is so excited to be offering a scholarship to students in our community,” said PGCA President Art Ballard “These grants align with our mission to enhance our community by supporting local. It is our hope that through continued partnerships with community groups and businesses, we will be able to continue to increase the amount of scholarship funds going to our high school Seniors in future years.”

The main requirement is that students attend schools or reside within the group’s boundaries (North – 35th Avenue; South – Freeport Regional Water Authority Intake Facility; East – Interstate 5; West – Sacramento River).

The PGCA is not accepting applications for the scholarships at this time. Applications are typically due in early March. Winners are usually presented with their scholarship check at our Quarterly Membership Meeting in April @ Robbie Waters Pocket-Greenhaven Library.

Note: You do NOT have to be a PGCA member to apply, though we would always appreciate your membership. You can sign up to become a member here: pgca.nationbuilder.com
