Pocket Easter Egg Hunt 2026

Pocket – Greenhaven Community Association
Promoting and Informing an Exceptional Neighborhood.

The Pocket Greenhaven Community Association (“PGCA”) is proud to announce that it will be offering $3,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from local schools. We’d like to again thank all community members for their membership in the organization, as membership dues (which are very modest) are one of the key funders of the awards. We’d also like to thank Councilmember Jennings for another donation to this year’s scholarships.
All graduating seniors attending high schools within the organization’s boundaries are eligible to apply. These hyperlocal scholarships will help first-year students, and their families cover some of the costs of attendance to accredited colleges and post-secondary career technical education programs for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year.
The main requirement is that students attend schools within the group’s boundaries (North – 35th Avenue; South – Freeport Regional Water Authority Intake Facility; East – Interstate 5; West – Sacramento River).
The PGCA is now accepting applications for the scholarships.
Applications are due by March 10, 2026. Winners will be presented with their scholarship check at our Quarterly Membership Meeting on Thursday April 16th, 6pm @ Robbie Waters Pocket-Greenhaven Library.
Note: You do NOT have to be a PGCA member to apply, though we would always appreciate your membership. You can sign up to become a member here: pgca.nationbuilder.com

The Pocket Greenhaven Community Association had the pleasure of hosting our mayor at our quarterly meeting. He was able to answer a variety of questions from community members. Thank you very much Mayor McCarty for stopping by and spending time with us.
